Anything But Basic: A Primary Bathroom Designed for Function and Personality

This primary bathroom renovation earned the name “anything but basic” for a reason.

The husband is 6’7”, so function mattered in a very real way. When we asked about his style, he said “basic.” His wife, on the other hand, said eclectic, organic, and fun. We took that as our direction and ran with it.

What we created honors both. Every detail works for him in scale and function, but visually, it tells a much richer story.

We layered in stunning Arabescato marble, a real stone checkered floor, and Liege stripe walls that bring in just the right amount of color and texture. It feels collected, elevated, and full of personality without ever losing its purpose.

Anything but basic, exactly as it should be.
